Ignition & Perspective development in Bakersfield, CA
Kern County runs on oil, gas and agriculture — operations spread across remote sites where uptime and visibility matter. I build the Ignition systems that tie them together. On-site in Bakersfield, remote across the country.
SCADA for oil & gas and remote sites
Bakersfield sits in one of the most active oil and gas regions in the state, and that work lives at the wellpad, the tank battery and the gathering line — not in a single control room. Ignition's unlimited-tag, server-based licensing fits that pattern well: poll RTUs and PLCs over Modbus, OPC-UA or MQTT, pull it back to a central gateway, and give engineers Perspective dashboards they can open from a laptop or phone in the field. I build the tag models, alarming and trend screens that make a spread-out operation legible.
Agriculture and processing
Kern is also a top ag county — carrots, citrus, almonds, grapes and the packing and processing that follow harvest. For those plants I build operator HMI, line dashboards and automated reporting: throughput, downtime, lot traceability and compliance documents rendered to PDF or Excel on a schedule. The goal is the same as on the energy side — turn raw tag data into numbers people can act on.
On-site in Bakersfield, remote everywhere
Based in Merced, in the Central Valley, I can be on-site in Bakersfield for commissioning, field walkdowns and operator training. Day-to-day development, testing and support run remotely over secure access — which is how most of this work gets done regardless of whether your sites are in Kern County or elsewhere in the US.
